16th January 2012
We continue to test our new Solar Panel Coatings product at our second test site, Philip House in Exeter. Our self-cleaning performance coatings are delivering great results with improved energy production.
Week 18 (11/01/2012)
A mixed week weather wise. Still low light conditions leading to not much electricity being produced but more than the previous month's figures on a week by week basis. The panels coated with nanoShell Solar PV solar panel coating returned 23kwh whilst the non-coated panels returned 18kwh. A difference of 27.78%.
To this date the hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties of nanoShell Solar PV has enabled the coated panels to produce an extra 67Kwh over 18 weeks. This means that the coated panels have generated 11.11% more electricity over the 18 weeks than the non-coated.
Week 19 (17/01/2012)
Some light rain and the hint of more sunlight. The panels coated with nanoShell Solar PV returned 30Kwh whilst the non-coated returned 24kwh so we've seen another 25% improvement this week. Taking the cumulative benefit of the coating to 73Kwh in 19 weeks which is 11.64% more efficient than the non-coated panels.
Week 20 (25/01/2012)
Low light conditions with some light rain throughout the week. Panels coated with nanoShell Solar PV returned 24kwh whilst the non-coated returned 21. A difference of 3 kwh and 14.29% improvement for the solar panel modules coated with nanoShell Solar PV self-cleaning hydrophobic coating
Week 21 (31/01/2012)
Once again low light conditions and heavy rain througout the week. The nanoShell Solar PV coated solar panel modules returned 26kwh whilst the non-coated returned 21kwh. This is a difference of 5kwh in favour of the coating and a 23.81% increase in kwh production.
Week 22 (09/02/2012)
Mainly dry week but with some quite heavy frosts and some rain at the start of the week. Another good week though for the panels coated with nanoShell Solar PV solar panel coating returning 61kwh whilst the non-coated returned 52kwh a difference of 9kwh and a 17.31% improvement. This takes the cumulative benefit to 12.48%
We are monitoring our test site on a weekly basis and will be publishing the results of our high performance Solar Panel coatings as often as possible.
